Customer inquiries: " BMW Module slow death"
- Someone used copy tool to code some functions in my car, works well, no problem, How to affect the software update? Ans.: For models from 2013 to 2017, all coding options & Map update should be encoded online, many BMW workshops in Egypt (equipped with special online programming equipment) can do job good. if work not encoded online, ECUs (Electronic units) in car may accept coding, but software can't encode it, so in programming \update process, units may need too much time (72Hrs - 200 Hrs) to flash new software & encode active options in car which did by copy tools, also cause software bugs & no one can do risk and program your car (Even Authorized Dealers) In this case, BMW Unit starts the slow death. below photo, NBT (iDrive unit) coded by copy tool & needs too much time to back to original case. *Copy tools & Offline tools can be used for models before 2013 *Don't let anyone hack your BMW System by copy tools, sure will like activated option , butwill miss too much in the near future!!
